Paragon Volunteer Fire  Department was organized  in 1952 when the first truck was purchased. It continues to be fully volunteer.

Police duties are presently being performed by Town Marshall David Zoller.

The Lions Club is presently the only active civic organization in town.  The Lions are an international organization which supports a variety of humane causes.

     Paragon has three active churches within it's city limits. They are The Paragon First Baptist Church, the Paragon Christian Church and the Paragon Bible Baptist Church.
