Presently owned and operated by Larry Hess, Clear Creek was established by George Hess (Larry's grandfather) in 1925. A local producer of game fish, Mr. Hess supplies fish for the stocking of private lakes and ponds. The farm produces gamefish intended for sportfishing including bass, crappie, redear sunfish and catfish. Mr. Hess is helped by two employees and his son Eric, a member of the fourth generation to participate in this family operation.
The Hess family raises American Lotus along with water lillies and other varieties of aquatic plants for use in ponds and lakes. They are sold for their beauty as well as serving as cover for young fish in hiding.
CLEAR CREEK is open six days a week:
Monday thru Friday 7am to 5pm,
and Saturday 7am to 3pm.
