Morgan County Master Gardener Class 2012

WHO: Folks interested in taking an interesting and informative session of classes on topics related to gardening and horticulture and willing to make an effort towards community service related to the classroom topics. 

WHAT: A twelve part Master Gardener class series, meeting three hours per week, followed by 35 hours of community service related to gardening/horticulture within the next year or two. 

WHEN: Thursday evenings, 6-9pm, January 12, 2012 – March 29, 2012. 

WHERE: Morgan County Administration Building, 180 S. Main St., Martinsville, IN. 46151 

WHY: Continuation of the long running and successful Purdue Master Gardener program allowing folks to learn and network on topics related to gardening/horticulture and providing community service involvement in Morgan and surrounding counties. 

COST:  $125.00 per individual or $150.00 per couple sharing materials. Cost includes all class materials of notebooks, handouts and text plus refreshments nightly. 

HOST: Chris F. Parker – Purdue Extension Educator in Agriculture and Natural Resources. Classes will be taught by Chris and other Extension Educators on topics such as Soils, Plant Science, Turf, Vegetables, Trees and Shrubs, Weeds and Pesticides, Nuisance Animals, etc.

Class sign-up begins immediately after Thanksgiving and class size is limited to 35. Check out our Morgan County Master Gardeners Association website for related information and a detailed class schedule when finalized.
