Harden Asher is my grandfather. He married Martha E.
Bolin, Daughter of Stephen Bolin and Ellen Lollar,
and granddaughter of Christopher Columbus Bolin. Martha and Harden married in l880.
She was born in l864 and died in l937 in Mn. He was born in l860 and died in l9l5 in MN. They
were both born in Morgan Co. supposedly in Washington Township, Martinsville, Ind. The
Bolens had relatives in Owen Co. Indiana named Nathan probably son of Seth
who may also been a son of Christopher Bolen. Harden Asher and Martha
Asher's daughter Lydia Bell Bolen married William Nathan Bolen, and
they were second cousins. Their first son Alonzo was born in Gosport Indiana. They moved to
MN in l9l0.\ By the grapevine from another relative, it is believed that Christopher Columbus
Bolen married a Nancy Barker daughter of a George Barker and Born
