Steve and his wife Susan have lived in Legendary Hills for 10 years. Steve is a life long resident of Indiana who came to our community from Indianapolis where he was employed by Ameritech. He served as the local Ameritech field manager in Martinsville for three years. Before retiring from Ameritech in 1996, Steve worked for Indiana Bell and Ameritech for more than 30 years. He served Indiana Bell & Ameritech in a variety of non-management and management positions. His career began as a coin box collector who traveled around Indiana collecting money from pay telephones and progressed to the more technical side of the business as a telephone installation and repair technician. For the last twenty years of his career, Steve served Ameritech in various management capacities, alternating between field supervisory and corporate staff positions.

Since retirement, Steve has become more involved in various community service endeavors. He has been a member of the Martinsville Rotary Club since 1993 and served as President of the club in 1997-’98. He is a member of the Morgan County Leadership Academy Board of Directors and a member of the Morgan County Community Foundation Board of Directors.
